meditationLife of Prayer

The first and principal duty of all religious is to be the contemplation of divine things and constant union with God in prayer. - Code of Canon Law 663

The Sacred Liturgy, being the foundation of the spiritual life of a community, is, for the sisters, their spiritual foundation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and the Liturgy of the Hours (Lauds, Vespers and Compline) are the fount and summit of our daily prayer life. There are also times set aside each day for meditation, Eucharistic adoration, fifteen decades of the Holy Rosary, the reading of Scripture and other spiritual books, and personal private devotions. The sisters have the opportunity to receive the sacrament of penance frequently, to enjoy a monthly day of recollection, and once a year, eight days are set aside for the Community's annual retreat.

"The primary work of nourishing our spiritual life is to be kept ever in the forefront of our lives." - Father Lloyd Ryan
